Double-Click edit not working

We've just had ADT 2007 installed at work and I've just spent the last half hour trying to get the Mtext editor to work with by double-clicking without success.

Pickfirst = 1
Dblclkedit = on
Mtexted = internal
Demand load object ARX = tried object detect and command invoke & just command invoke

This is really starting to annoy me now. I'm having to right-click and select mtext editor from the pop-up menu. Double-clicking just brings up the properties window.

Tables will edit with double-click
Mtext, Dtext & Attributes won't.

The even more annoying thing is everyone else who has been upgraded has no problems at all. I don't appear to have any spurious Lisp routines running, and the above sysvars are the same on all machines.

Can anyone shed anymore light on the subject?

Have you checked your CUI under double click actions
