Question 'Up' key to retrieve previous numerical values

In v.2004, if I entered numerals (i.e., 223.15 or 17888 ) in the command-field, and I wanted to reuse the same values, all I had to do was to hit the 'Up' key and all previous commands AND numerical values would begin to display in the command-field per each hit, beginning from the last entry (command or number) and displaying the history of all previous entries...all I get now are x & y coordinates of where my cursor is placed when hitting the 'up' key.....how can I change this setting to display previous entered numerical values?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Maybe have a look at INPUTHISTORYMODE in the help file. I think you need it to be set to 4.

I've been testing this. The help file is not very 'helpful' or accurate on this variable. It seems that turning on bit 1 is what determines the conversion to xyz coords. I set INPUTHISTORYMODE to 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 and tested the results. I now have it set to 14. Although, without xyz coords enabled (bit 1), the markers do not display (bit 8 ). So you might as well set it at 6, or 4.
