    Default White text, black background

I know this has been covered before and I've searched and searched and can't find an answer that helps me. I have a piece of MTEXT in a titleblock that I need to print with a black background and white text. I've done it before in previous releases, is there something in 2K7 preventing this from happening. The frustrating part is I can get it to do what I want on screen and when I do a plot preview it shows perfectly. I can also print it on our laserjet just fine but when I send it to our KIP its all solid.

Any ideas, I've literally tried everything I can think of.

I cant help you with this one, I can only let you know that our KIP is having issues with plotting from 07 as well, it totally ignores wipeouts, and Autodesk's fix for ignoring wipeouts doesnt work with the KIP

Is "lines merge" set? that would certainly cause it to print all black. It isn't available on the laserjets, so they should print fine.

A lot of plotters have problems with wipeouts and print them all black, too. Either a solid hatch or MTEXT background should do the job as long as "lines merge" is off.

Are you using a background mask for you MTEXT? When you modify the text there is a little button with a triangle (arrow) pointing down next to the OK button. You can access the background mask from there....

Not sure if this is what you are trying to achieve....

"Lines Merge" is an option I am considering as a last resort but since we do a lot of building restoration and thus use a lot of screened linework to show existing structures, it will affect most of the linework in the rest of the drawings. And I've tried the background mask in MTEXT with no luck. It's looking like changing the plot config is the way I'll have to go. Maybe I can draw all the existing linework in a seperate file and xref it in so it will be easier to isolate the screened line work and set it behind everything else. HMMMMMM......

Yep, seen them and tried them all. I've pretty much accepted the fact that there is no other way to do it without setting my plotter config to "Lines overwrite" which I don't really want to do. I guess I can just make a new config for this job as it doesn't have too much screened linework.
