Working with AutoCAD Profiles and Tool Palettes
First, some background info ....
Now that my DBs are being approved I wanna create a Tool Palette that all my co-workers can access equally and have access to the same dynamic blocks clear across the board ....
Problem is, in speaking to Chris, he mentioned that it involves Profiles. I know nothing of Profiles and the concept of using them kind of scares me because I've never used them before.
So I need to know a handful on information relating to Profiles:
1) What are Profiles?
2) Why are they here?
3) How are they related to Tool Palettes?
4) Do they affect anything else (like toolbars, menus, custom commands, etc)?
And the million dollar question ......
5) How do I go about creating a profile that can be accessed across a network with a Tool Palette in it?
I could simply ask for the answer to question 5, but I need to know how everything works before I use it. It's just the way I am. It's easier for me to use something if I know what everything does.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS - I looked under help, but found the info there to be pretty vague and couldn't really understand what it was saying. plus, I think this use requires a more specialized explanation than what can be found in help.
