    Question Can only select objects once.

    I was wondering if anyone can tell me what I need to change to solve this problem...
    Some of my drawings, (not all) will only let me select any object once.
    I then cannot select it again until I have used tilemode to go into paper space clicked into and out of any viewport then gone back into model space.
    I can still select multiple objects, but only if I it is the first time I have selected them, any I have previously selected will be excluded from the set.
    However if I type a command first then I can select anything fine.
    I would like to be able to use grip edit again! - Any ideas?
    Running ACAD2004 file format in Autodesk Map.

    I have it set up like this:
    PICKFIRST = 1
    PICKADD = 1
    PICKAUTO = 1
    PICKDRAG = 0
    Does this look correct, any other ideas?

    Those are my settings.

    You mention grip editing. What about your GRIPS system variable?

    Is it an issue with your grips being visible?

    Maybe, try >Options>Selection Tab>Object selection limit for display of grips...and crank up the number there.

    I have mine set at 10,000, hehe, some of my polylines go on forever.

    My GRIPS value is set to 1.
    After I have selected something once, I cannot select it at all, not just that I cannot see the grips, so it is not that - good try though!
    Do you know of any other GRIPS variables I could try . . .

    I wonder if this is one of those target issues. Is TARGET set to 0,0,0?

    According to help:

    Stores the location (as a UCS coordinate) of the target point for the current viewport.

    Shoot, I was hoping we would be lucky.

    Can you post one of the problem drawings so we can have a look?

    Could this be a graphics card / display driver problem?
