    Default Total building weight

Is there anyway to determine the total weight of the entire building w/o going thru any calcs? Let's say I have designed my building with various floor, wall and roof systems and now my prof wants to know what the total weight of the structure will be for seismic design.

Just off the top of my head, I would say play around with schedules. You could make one that extracts the volume of all the different materials in your project and have revit multiply those by that material's real-world density to get the weight. Look in the help or search the forums for more specific info about scheduling.
