Default bad definitions in custom linetypes

Here is a snip of a custom linetype:

    *Pneumatic_Line2,Pneumatic Line2 ----\\----\\----\\----
    A,.9375,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,S=.125,R=45,X=0,Y=0],.125,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,S=.125,R=45,X=0,Y=0],0
    *Sonic,Sonic ----~----~----~----
    A,1,["~",romans,S=.85,R=-18.4349,X=0,Y=0],.5

They both work as is, but if I try to use txt instead of romans, I get a bad definition error.

I tried adding .shx at the end, I tried copying txt.shx to the location at top of the search path. I even tried creating a new style in my test drawing that uses txt.shx. The reason I need a different font is because the tilde is too wide, I need the curves much narrower.

    What are my options?

Do you have a text style in the drawing called txt? If not, create one called txt that uses txt.shp. You might look at making a shape to add to ltypeshp.shp. I think there are some posts on this in the customization forum.

Right you are. I searches a few more phrases and found the help I needed. I had no idea that Express tools had that utility. Now I just need to work out scaling issues and I'm in business! Thanks.

    Hi Janet

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD General forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike
