Aaron's got the view>orient>N,S,E,W shortcuts which allows you to work in "plan" and "elevation" in a 3D view and Revit will let you move objects around as if you were in a plan or elevation view -- this can be a real time saver. Ours is OE,OW,OS,ON for orient east, west, south, north, OT for orient top (plan) OP for orient to plane.

    F2 toggles the Project Browser
F3 is the Snaps dialog (sim to Acad)
    F4 is Object Styles
F5 is Refresh (sim to Acad)
    F6 toggles Thin Lines mode
    F7 is spell check
F8 toggles Dynamic View (the X key does too when working on a laptop)
F9 is the Plane Selector dialog
    F11 toggles the Status Bar
    F12 toggles work plane visibility

It's interesting to see how people set their commands up -- some good ideas here and I wondered if people had developed some one-key commands.

F2 is the windows default for rename. So if you change that, you'll lose the ability to "F2" the views, sheets, etc. in the browser.

No actually F2 still works for renaming, the keyboard shortucts only apply to the working area of the screen when it's active, they do not do anythng when the project browser is the active window

Weird eh? I was apprehensive about using F2 for toggling the browser, but it still works as rename when you're in the browser

The only reason I don't use F2 is that it is too close to F1 and I hate when help pops up cause you hit it on accident. In AutoCAD, you use Esc so much (which is right next to F1) that I switched help to F12 instead.

How do you do that? I'm ready to jam the F1 key.

among others, I have these favs:

    F9 is Trim
    F10 is Extend
    Home is Zoom All
    End is Zoom in Region
    Page Up is Next Zoom
    Page Down is Previous Zoom

These are all enabled with Macro Express.

After posting to THIS, I made some changes:

    "NP" menu:"File-New-Project"
    "NF" menu:"File-New-Family"
    "NT" menu:"File-New-Titleblock"
    "NA" menu:"File-New-Annotation Symbol"

    "IC" menu:"File-Import/Link-CAD Formats"
    "II" menu:"File-Import/Link-Image"
    "IR" menu:"File-Import/Link-Revit"
    "ID" menu:"File-Import/Link-Link DWF Markup Set"

    "XC" menu:"File-Export-CAD Formats"
    "XW" menu:"File-Export-Walkthrough"
    "XN" menu:"File-Export-Animated Solar Study"
    "XS" menu:"File-Export-Schedule"
    "XD" menu:"File-Export-ODBC Database"
    "XI" menu:"File-Export-Image"
    "XX" menu:"File-Export-gbXML"
    "XA" menu:"File-Export-Room/Area Report"
    "XF" menu:"File-Export-IFC"
    "X2" menu:"File-Export DWF-2D DWF"
    "X3" menu:"File-Export DWF-3D DWF"

    "58" menu:"View-Orient-North"
    "52" menu:"View-Orient-South"
    "56" menu:"View-Orient-East"
    "54" menu:"View-Orient-West"
    "59" menu:"View-Orient-Northeast"
    "57" menu:"View-Orient-Northwest"
    "53" menu:"View-Orient-Southeast"
    "51" menu:"View-Orient-Southwest"
    "55" menu:"View-Orient-Top"
    "50" menu:"View-Orient-To Other View"

Any changes made to the keyboardshortcuts file then gets pushed out to all clients via group policy. One of my biggest gripes with Revit at the moment, is that this file is the same for ALL users on the same computer. This means no local customisation=step backwards. We went through the pain of unique pgp's in AutoCAD, then changing to USER pgp. We are now back where we started. Fors and against I know. But continuity would be nice.

Great List! One that I don't see which I've added it "FT" for Family Types. Great when your working on a family and need to flex it a lot.
