Default DVIEW in AutoCAD LT 2007?

I noticed that Autodesk didn't include the DVIEW command in AutoCAD LT 2007 ( ). Therefore, I can't use DVIEW --> TWIST and therefore...

Does anyone know of a way to work around this problem without changing the UCS? Maybe a lisp? (I have LT Extender) I have been using DVIEW as part of MVSETUP and now this routine doesn't work.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

Thanks for that. I will use it if there is no other way. I was actually thinking if there was a way to "import" the DVIEW command, either with lisp or any other way.

    Any ideas?

You can't use LISP in LT without a 3rd party add-on that allows LISP to run.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

It'll work as a macro or as a script - assuming you always want the same angle.

I have LT-Extender which allows Lisp in LT

I would like it to work with all sort of angles, not a fixed one. Same as DVIEW and MVSETUP.

If there are any ideas, please fire away.

    Thanks

Ask the user for the angle and store it (as a real ?)
Run the macro above and insert the variable value at the appropriate point.

Sorry, I'm not good enough to code it off the top of my head.

We have some people in our office running 2007LT and used to use the dview command.
Boy were they bumming when they found out they removed dview!!

To help them out, I searched this thread I took jaberwok's suggestion.
I wrote them a couple quick scripts to do the job. They just wanted to rotate a view in 90 degree incriments and be able to go back to world. But don't really want to have to use the ucs commands.

    This one is named USC_90.scr
    Code:
    ucs
    z
    90
    plan

    zoom
    e
    This one is called UCS_WORLD.scr
    Code:
    ucs
    world
    plan

    zoom
    e
Wicked simple, and it helped them get the job done.
I'm assuming you could assign a button to this, but don't know for sure.

Angry Re: DVIEW in AutoCAD LT 2007?

    Hello,

I've just upgraded from 2004LT to 2007LT and I always use the DVIEW command but have just realised that it's missing! I like to specify the angle on screen rather than typing in a specific number. Why did they remove this feature??
