Task Pane pain !

Does anyone know how to stop the Task Pane from displaying on opening Civil 3D 2007 ?

My support team said, 'Close it, then save your workspace, and on re-opening it should not re-appear'

Not so. ! It stubbornly clings on for dear life.

Any suggestions ?

This is actually a Map thing, not a Civil-3D thing.

Go to Map->Options, and uncheck "Show Task Pane on Startup" from the "Startup" tab.
