Problem: Survey Points loading from Project take forever?
Version: LDT 2005, Survey 2005
Whats new: New server w/ different name.
All of these files were working fine before we migrated servers. All of our support paths point to a mapped drive letter not a UNC path. So If the path said J:jobs and we move all the job and project folders to another server but keep the same share J:jobs and file structure would that cause any problems? If we uninstall LDD, manually delete all the folders, and then reinstall LDD the problem is solved. After I reinstall I have to re-associate the project to the correct path which matches the path on the old installation and everything works fine. We really do not want to reinstall LDD on 70 computers. Are there any registry settings that might be pointing to the old server name? We already looked at the support folder paths and those are correct.
