    Default Change Layer colors to Plot gray on a few Layouts

    okay AUGI-Guru's... i have a floor plan in model space, and it is used thru out several layout tabs (pages)... in a couple of the pages, i would like to change the color of the floor plan layer (plot in gray)... how can i do this?

    You could use a layer state for that layout. Of course, you would need to remember to restore it for that layout and return the layers back to normal for the other layouts.

    If using external references, just change it for that drawing.

    Could you rephrase the question? What do you want to do in this second question? You can't have a circular xreference.

    well, the floor plan that i am using is basically the drawing that I'm working in... the layout tabs will represent individuals sheets that reference the floor plan drawn in model space... with in certain sheets, like plumbing and electrical, i would like to subdue the floor plan by using a different color... when plotted, the floor plan will print grey, while specific lines will stand out... how can this be achieved with out too much trouble...


    i wondered if i could reference the floor plan to create this affect... but, as you pointed out it would be a circular reference... any ideas?

    You could create separate page setups for the layouts, that use different CTB/STB files and are set to display plot styles.
