DBLCLKEDIT is set to ON? If it is, check the new section (doubleclick actions or something like that) in the CUI and make sure it is assigned.

Here's the settings from mine so you can add them (at least text, for now); I'll have to research why yours would disappear.

And THIS may apply (especially the next to last).

Everything was set as it was supposed to be ... though the second last post was interesting.

I DID map out my CUI from last year's version of CAD. In actuality, I copied the 2006 CUI into my 2007 CUI Folder ... maybe that's the problem ... I'll have to check that out ....

Thanks for the brain food, Tim!

    Okay,

So as it turns out the whole problem was caused by the typical UE .... User Error.

In my overzealousness to make my 2007 look and act like my 2006 CAD, I copied the 2006 CUI to the 2007 CUI folder. COPIED it physically. This is where the error was.

I guess - in actuality, i KNOW this for a fact - the ability to edit your doubleclick actions was not a feature that was available in 2006 . So when I copied my 2006 CUI, it did not have anything specified for double click actions because there were NONE in it!

So I copied my backup CUI (for 2007 - a genius move to include it in this year's edition, BTW - eliminates one step for the user)and MIGRATED my toolbars and menus through the CUI Transfer Window. It was a bit more cumbersome and irritating to go through all that, but the bright side is that my 2007 now looks and acts like my 2006 AND I have all my double click actions back to normal.

    So, for the record ....

If you want to have menus and toolbars from one CAD edition show up the newest version, be sure to transfer them all via the CUI Transfer Window. DO NOT physically copy and paste the CUI files. This will (might) remove added functionalities not available in previous versions!

Thanks to Tim for all his effort in helping a blockhead out and giving me something to think on over the weekend.
