    Default Pipe systems

Is there a way to make a pipe part of a system without a plumbing fixture attached?

I am working on a core and shell strip mall building where we are just providing some basic sanitary and domestic water mains, but not installing any plumbing fixtures.

In order for me to be able to shut off the piping in different views, I need to change the pipe type (according to another thread here). However, I can't see where to assign a system type to the piping without fixtures. The system type is grayed out in the properties box.

The way I did it before there was plumbing in the program was through project parameters. That is a long and a pain in the butt way of doing it because you have to select each piece of pipe, fitting, accessory and assign a parameter to it.

You could create a End-cap plumbing fixture family. That way you could have the different systems represented and have the control that you want.

    Just an Idea.
