    Default Xrefs causing plotter issues

I'm having a problem with an xref disabling the objects in my drawing.

Instead of us having an xref that's greyed out with HVAC and electric on top of it, only the xref will print. I've tried detaching it and the items come back as if nothing happened. The xref in question is corrupted or a setting in it is active that I'm not aware of.

It isn't a layer issue, nor is it a plotter issue. We've tried plotting it on other workstations.

I've also tried running recover on the drawing as this has happened before on 2005 and that would fix the problem. Not in this case.

We're running Autodesk Building Systems 2007.1. This started happening with 2007.1. We didn't have an issue with 2007.

Any help would be appreciated as my boss wants this out today and expects results, not excuses.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

I've not used ABS, but is there any style settings that may be disallowing you content to plot? Are the layer plot settings set appropriately?
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.

You say that only the xref will print? Do you mean that the objects that reside in the current drawing DO NOT print, and that if you detach the xref, the objects in the current drawing (OCD) DO print?

Do the OCD look the same after you attach the xref?
What does the plot preview look like?
    What is in this xref?

Problem was fixed. The xref was corrupted like I thought it was. I'm not sure what the issue was however.

How odd. I was going to guess that for some reason a bunch of your layers got changed to no-plot in the layer manager. Glad you figured out what it was.

Thomas, sorry to hear you are having issues with ABS Display. You may want to take a look at the Archived ATP course offered here on Augi. There were several that delt with display configs for ABS drawing and overlaying Arch x-refs. Just a thought.
