Default AutoCAD 2002 - Landscape items missing from Render output to file

I'm working with Autocad 2002, and I know nobody really renders in Autocad anymore but I'm stuck doing this on a short deadline and must figure it out!

I've got the building in, with materials etc = all look great. Problem happens when I try to add a new landscaping item. Rendering it to the render window and the trees show up. BUT when I render to a file (I need a tiff to be the end result, to be printed really large scale, so highest quality is absolutely necessary) only the SHADOWS turn up and the trees are nowhere to be found!
What am I missing? I'm sure it's something super simple that I'm missing here, but it's beyond me! Please help if you've ever encountered this problem. It'll be so much appreciated!

There is a thread over here with a couple of solutions to what it sounds like you're experiencing. not sure which if any will work for you, though.
