Here is the silliest question I am looking for Autocad tools. In ADT.
Product Version: ADT 2005
Hey, this is Augi, there are no silly questions.
Are you looking for the basic tool bars? As far as I know (and I haven't found one yet) every command that works in Acad works in ADT. You should be able to find your tool bars by right clicking on a blank spot in the tool bar area. They should be available. If you are looking for the menus, under window you should see a fly out for "Pulldowns". You can find many of them there. ADT typically dosen't load those because most of the tools can be found on the pallets, or by use of command alias. I hope this helps.
Also I think there is an option when installing to have a Acad only shortcut which loads Acad tool palettes instead of ADT ones, I'm not sure if you can make the shortcut after installation though.
Edit: oh yeah, there is no such thing as a silly question, only being silly for not asking
Steve, I think you're right. I believe that you have to do that upon istalling if you only want Acad, but you won't get any of the ADT stuff from my understanding.Originally Posted by Steve.Sanderson(UK)
Perfect. I usually use keystroke commands for some ie line, copy, move, erase. Thanks.Originally Posted by david_peterson

Thanks for that, I really appreciate the help served with a generous dose of patience.
If you really like keystrokes, you can even add all off the AEC commands to your alias list if you wanted. Such as door/add or wall/add. Just some more thoughts.Originally Posted by richelleharp
You could also load the AutoCAD menu files along side the ADT ones, just keep in mind that some ADT commands supersede the AutoCAD ones such as drawing setup.
Is it necessary for me to reinstall in order for me to do this?Originally Posted by Steve_Bennett
Is it more efficient to work this way, or should I train myself to give up the keystrokes?Originally Posted by david_peterson
