Are Insulation Parameters Available or Possible?

Are there insulation parameters available in families? It would be good if families could be created that contain R or U-Factors that could be exported via gbXML to programs like Green Building Studio, IES <VE>, or Trace 700.

You could add shared parameters to any family that would indicate U or R value. Those parameters would schedule and could be exported to an excel file or database. However I think right now the export to trace and GBXML are fixed so those new parameters will probably not export and if they do will not be in the right place. I know this is on Autodesks radar and there may be some improvements in R10. Stay tuned
