    Unhappy ADT2007 Slab Interference

    Hi

Am quite new to ADT and I have a problem with modelling slabs.

I have a slab made up of 225mm RC concrete, insulation & screed on top.
This slab construction is located in its own construct.

Block walls located above are built off the slab and not off the screed so i used an interference with the floor plan construct.

This worked as expected and the screed/insulation were removed where walls are located.

Unfortunately when i progressed onto a view drawing or create sections, the interference locations are lost and I was faced with a solid slab, insulation and screed going through the walls.

I believe there is a simple solution to this but I can't seem to fathom it.

I would appreciate anyone's help on this as we all now how frustrating it can be when something doesn't work out.

    Cheers

    Steve

    Hello Steve!

Is there a reason you are not including the slab in the same construct as the walls? If you can, I would recommend placing the slab in the same file as the construct. Simple select the slab and choose Edit -> Copy and in the destination file choose Edit -> Paste to original coordinates.

    Thanks Steve

Putting the slab in the same construct does work.

I was recommended to keep slabs on a seperate construct due to ADT2007 new feature of using interference across xrefs.
This is because I work in a structural engineers office and keeping the slab on a seperate construct will work better for us for reinforcement detailing.

There seems to be a bug in ADT2007 because when you first load say a view drawing of the slab on its own, the interference areas are shown.
When you change view or change visual style it loses the ability to remember this and they all disappear.

Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me !

    Cheers

    Steve
