    Default Pipe Network template

Is there a way to save your pipe networks in a template? There are many settings within pipe networks that we will be using over again, such as what styles to assign & layers. Obviously, surfaces and alignments will change from project to project but there should be a way to save the networks with some of the settings already in place. I can't seem to find an easy way to do this short of drawing a section of a network in the drawings and then inserting that drawing into a new project.

    Any ideas? Thanks again!

What if you take one of your drawings that you have already set your desired default setting, styles, layers. etc..., one of your recent project drawings, erase everything that is in it, short of assemblies, if there are any. Then save the dwg to a dwt, now you have a template to start new drawings with. If you are using different drawings for different objects, then this process could be repeated for each type of object and users do not have to worry so much about which style they should be using, as it is already the default when they create a new object.

    What do you think?

Well I feel really stupid now. I tried doing that last week and it didn't work. The template i created last week contained all my styles but did not retain my pipe networks. It seemed to work today. Thanks for getting me to try that again, haha.
