    Default Fatal Error DBX CAS4

Every once in a while this message pops up. Never a problem but what is causing it and can it be prevented? (I did a search in forums but no luck)
    Thanks

    Hi

What version of AutoCAD LT are you using ?

Whatever version you are using, go here [ AutoCAD LT Updates & Service Packs ] and check if you have the most up to date version installed.

If using Operating System XP, check if you have Service Pack 2 installed. If you do not, I personally recommend you download it and install it.

    Have a good one, Mike

I finally did the XP Pro SP2 update last week but just got the error again. Which of the AC LT 2004 SP updates do you recommend 1 or 1a or any of the others shown?

    Hi

Personally I do not use AutoCAD LT, but that said, I would make sure I had all relevant AutoCAD LT 2004 Updates & Service Packs installed.

Plus, the below comes from the Readme for the AutoCAD 2004 and AutoCAD LT 2004 Service Pack 1a...

The AutoCAD 2004 and AutoCAD LT 2004 Service Pack 1a includes updates for AutoCAD 2004, AutoCAD LT 2004, and Service Pack 1.

Unhappy Re: Fatal Error DBX CAS4

I must have read through 100's of comments on this problem and yet to find a way to stop it to come up when I work on AutoCAD. I have version 2010 LT. I found some sort of a fix-it on Google and thought the problem disappeared, but alas it showed back up again. I am unable to connect it to any particular action on my part. I did notice that if I work on a project long and don't save after every step it will show up when I try to save and I loose everything. I will get another window saying that AutoCAD cannot save in my particular application. If I managed to save everything and proceed to close the application it will ask again if I want to save changes and if I say "yes" I will get the above message.

Is this more common with AutoCAD LT?

Am I bringing this fluke in from other people's drawings (from different companies) as I often use those as base drawings?

    Do I have a virus?
