    Default Trapezoid styles

    Hi All,

I have searched all through the content browser and the web for a trapezoid window that appears in the attached dwf file. I even tried rotating it with in the wall after the standard trapezoid window was placed.

Does anyone have a style like this? If you could please post it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise it looks like I will have to create this one from scratch or use a window assembly (curtain wall) to do the job. But like I said, if anyone has, it would be greatly appreciated.

    A huge thanks in advance,

This will have to be a 100% custom style. Place a window in a wall, a Picture window should work great. Right click on the window and select Copy and asign new style, re-name it. Next, pick the window and select "Edit profile in Place". Now you can remove a vertex, or shorten it, what ever you want. Then pick save. That's option one. You could also create a profile from a pline and apply that to a window style. Just some thoughts. I hope this helps.

Nice!!! I totally forgot about that function in ADT. It is such an easy tool to use.

    Much appreciated!!!! Thank you again.

Why not just draw a closed polyline, convert it to a profile and edit the window style to use the profile for the shape? That's what I did in the attached graphic.

Thanks was my first thought, but I figured the edit in place was just a slightly easier method if you only had one window.
On another note, this same theory works for doors as well. You can create a profile for (I believe) both the door slab and any inset glass that you could want. When I took my ADT class we made a Door style with a Mickey Mouse type profile for the door slab and a Goofy looking piece of glass. Our instructor was realy into Disney.
