Table "Gridlines" Will Not Show...

Is there some sort of system variable that turns off/on the gridlines on tables? Just so I make myself clear, by "gridlines" I mean the MS Excel definition, where irregardless of whether you have a cell/table border turned on/off you can still see the grid, which does not print. I have this drawing where I have inserted a table, but the gridlines are invisible. On every other drawing I have inserted tables in I can see the gridlines so there is something turned off/on in this drawing that is making them invisible (or at least that is my hypothesis). If there is someone out there that has knowledge of this, please lead me in the right direction. Thanks.

Are you working with tables or is this an OLE object?

I could not duplicate this behavior. I was able to change the table style properties so it displayed in gray on the screen but did not plot but I was always able to see the grid lines.

Could you post a drawing with problem table and I will take a look at it.

When I open the file I can see the grid lines. They are gray and do not plot. You can't see the grid lines on your computer?

I modified the NOTES and LEGEND table styles so the grid lines will plot. Do you see the grid lines in the attached drawing?

If the answers to my questions are no and yes respectively I would assume that it is some sort of graphics card/driver problem. Try opening the drawing you posted on other computers in your office.

Ok, it has to be something specific to just my drawing, because the non printing "gridlines" in the drawing you posted appear ok when I open it (as they do with all my other drawings). I assume you saved the drawing at some point on your system, so whatever settings you have overwrote the settings on that drawing. So what would make the non printing gridlines disappear in just the original drawing?

I changed the table style in the drawing I posted.

Download the drawing you posted and open it. Do you see grid lines on the screen?

Ok, I downloaded the drawing I posted originally and got the same results as with my original drawing (tables are there, non printable gridlines are not visible). I even tried opening the drawing in a different version of Autodesk (LDT) and got the same results. This is truely a mystery and I am confounded. I will most likely use the drawing that you sent back, as your system seems to have fixed whatever the problem was.
