Angry Ordering your free Autodesk documentation.

With reference to this thread over on the French forum; on the subject of :Ordering your free Autodesk documentation from the Autodesk Store
The delivery (in 7 to 10 working days) should have arrived last week; I would sure appreciate some feedback as to why I still haven’t had my documentation. I am beginning to feel that overseas AutoCAD licence holders are getting second rate treatment.

For example if I order a manual for AutoCAD LT 2007 on Amazon.com I can have it delivered in under 48 hours.

Don't get me wrong - delivery in 10 working days is fine by me. But if you can’t delivery, I would at the very least expect an email explaining that there will be a delay; or heaven forbid a little apology for the delay! I’m mentioning this not for my benefit, but rather for the countless thousands of AutoCAD licenced users who don’t happen to live in the US of A. and who, like myself are, perhaps a little miffed about paying more for less!

I never saw this before..........I sometimes sign up for stuff and feel lucky
if I end up getting anything. What can you get for free these days?

I see bottled water on the store shelves.

Don't feel bad. We ordered our "free" material after we got our new licence for RS4 way back when. I still haven't see my book yet, and I live in the states.

really? we ordered both books with the new 2007 ADT licenses we bought this past year, and got both books in 2 weeks at most.

Of course we may have got them and our head IT guy decided they'd be better of collecting dust on his bookshelf. I'll have to dig into that a little more.

    Thanks guys,
I agree that there's not much to be had for free. I guess unless I plan on moving stateside in the near future, I had better be a little more patient. ~Shrug~ Feels good to have got it out of my system, by griping about it, I will post back here if I do eventually get the AutoCAD LT 2007 manual
    Thanks again for the replies.

I thought "what the heck" and yesterday clicked the link for my free stuff too.

I received an email back today saying that it ships out of Ireland and that I need to use the North America link.

    Oops,
Yeah sorry guys I should have explained that it's a European link. Here's the previous "Autodesk Worldwide" page, which allows you to select where you wish to shop. Hope that helps.

However as far as my being still waiting is concerned, to the best of my knowledge surface mail between Ireland and France no longer exists. This means the package even with standard rate postage comes by airmail. So 3 to 5 days door to door tops!

Anybody know who's sitting on my package back home in Ireland?
