    Had the same issue and it was a USC issue. Did a 3d view top and now works fine...
    I think you mean UCS. I have seen that happen before too

    Hi there, I just stumbled upon this thread as I had the same issue myself, and I know its from a long time ago, but if it helps I found this worked for me.

    Run "Setup Drawing" under the "Format" title, choose to overwrite the settings, and select the "Clean" option, I could then use the Ctrl+c & Ctrl+v method to paste objects, with the base point as the bottom left corner of the object.

    I use AutoCAD Mechanical 2010, so not sure if this option is in every version!
