    Angry Creating Stripping Surface

In our business we require the ability to create stripping surfaces.
when using LDD I would drop the model by 0.3 m. However, when designing highways we don't strip the whole area, just the areas from the shoulders out to daylight. In C3D I notice there are stripping sub assemblies, but not much information on how to use them.
Is there any documentation that is available

If you just want to lower a portion of the surface, here is one way to accomplish this. I'm going through this process assuming you are lowering a portion of the EXISTING GROUND.
    1. Create a new surface, call it EG LOWERED and paste in the EXISTING GROUND.
    2. Add a boundary around the area to be lowered.
    3. Lower the EG LOWERED surface by whatever value you want.
    4. Create another surface and call it EG STRIPPED.
    5. Paste in the EXISTING GROUND surface followed by the EG LOWERED surface.
    6. Tell your boss that you were able to get the four hour task he asked you to do done in about 3 minutes.
    7. Get a raise.
    8. Take your kids to Disney World.
    9. Send me a thank you card from Florida.

we do this in LDT all the time... even better, generate contours from the lowered surface, make them look nice, and now you can duplicate your grading at any elevation you want AND just tie them back into existing on the boundary, lol. works great.
    Thank you kindly
