    Default convert image into dwg

    Hi,

    Banal story:

    1. Surveyor made paper TopoMap... Engineer made a paper drawing...
    2. I scan this map and get both TIF and PDF files
    3. Now I need to convert said files into dwg file

    How?

    Thanks

PS. This is pretty the banal task. But ADT has now tool by default... Why?
Don't even mention about Raster design, pleazzzze

If Raster design is decidedly NOT an option,
then you will need to as the Surveyor to submit
to you the boundary or topographic survey to you
in DWG format. Othewise your option is to
work through this project with that basemap
as an attached JPEG and draw over it.
Or I have heard that you can push that file into
some version of Paint and export it as DXF or Binary
or some crudely CAD compatible format.

Open with image Adobe Illustrator and Save as dwg file...
    But I'm not sure

This post doesn't seem to have anything related to Revit...just ADT...so it's been moved here. Let us know if you intended this to be a Revit related question.

You can insert the TIF file into an AutoCAD DWG then trace over it & dump the raster file when finished. It's time consuming, but without adding another program, it may work for you.

Lets keep the sence of my question, which was:

    1. How to convert tif, jpg, pdf, etc. IMAGE file into DWG or DFX ?
How to INSERT I knew and know...
I discover, when open IMAGE files with "Adobe Illustrator" you may after just SAVE AS
    GWG or DFX
I made said way pdf Map image...
    It's work....

    2. That feature, by my opinion, must be STANDARD in both ADT and Revit...
Because such necessity is usual (banal) in Architect practice... And Autodesk keeps trying make set of tools, which it for some to clear anough reason names ARCHITECTURAL

    Thanks
