Question MVIEW determine which camera is active

    Anyone,

How do I poll an MVIEW window (in paper space) to determine which camera is active in that window?

[I.e. I have several cameras on a 3D model, in model space, and multiple MVIEW windows, I need a command that will tell me which camera is associated with which MVIEW window.]

[And, yes (before you ask) the model is so complex that it is not obvious or even realisticly determinable by "looking" and no, I don't want to simply call the cameras in the various windows because they take 13-15 minutes to refresh, each, and I have dozens of drawings to review, some with as many as 16 windows and 12 cameras. I did color code them after a while (window to camera color), but not for the first groupings, and I have more to review, that were created by others in the past, with no coding.]

Question Re: MVIEW determine which camera is active

    Hi

Have you tried setting CameraDisplay to 1 then using the _.List command and selecting the appropriate Camera through the Floating Viewport?

    Have a good one, Mike

    Perry,

Thanks for your reply. I am doing a client project in vanilla AutoCAD 2005. I can't seem to find such a variable, nor is it a property in the property window

    Can I buy a vowel?

_CameraDisplay is also "unknown" in vanilla A2006.

    Hi

Personally I prefer Mike or Michael or...

my bad. I just took a closer look at CameraDisplay, it is a new system variable in AutoCAD 2007.

    Have a good one, Mike
