    Default ADT walls

    ADT 2006

Please see the attached file. I have a 8" conc exterior wall with 3 5/8" met. stud and 5/8" gyp bd. The column enclosure is 2 1/2" met stud with 5/8" gyp.
I am trying to remove 3 5/8" stud and gyp bd in the chase.
I was told by some people saying add wall type (8"conc. wall) and replaced where we want to get rid of the stud and gypsum wall. Is there a different way to accomplish this without using two wall types? Is there any method to notch a portion of wall? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Jason,

Take a look at THIS thread and see if it helps. I suggested using a body modifier but I think others had better/different ideas.

Body/plan modifier is what you're looking for.

I would use the plan or body modifier in this case, but I would not show the line representing the studs, as long as the scale is 1/4", or less.
