Question Windows File Association problem with Revit 9 and 9.1

I have kept Revit 9 installed on my PC after I installed 9.1. My problem is that when I double click a Revit .rfa project file, it always attempts to open Revit 9 instead of 9.1, which in the case of newer files obviously results in an error about trying to open file created in a newer version. I have looked everywhere in the ways to change file association, and I have even tried right clicking on the file in the windows explorer and selecting "Open With", then picking the actual revit.exe file within the 9.1 program folder. It sill opens in 9 in this case.

I still need to keep 9 installed, which I understand does not violate the licensing agreement, as I have files coordinated with others who are still in version 9. Anyone have any insight on this, or should I just submit this as a support ticket!

The only thing I can think of short term is to open Revit9.1 first, and then use the open file dialog instead of double clicking.

Thanks, Derek. That looks like an identical problem with 8 vs. 8.1, but when I tried Scott's solution that he detailed in that thread, my windows explorer options did not match up with what he described, even though I have administrator privileges with my XP login. I will try more research, and update here.

    Thanks for the replies.
