    Thanks!
you can't get the 'bar' to update per the viewport scale, but you certainly can have the text update using fields in an attribute...

lemme see if i posted my title marker way back when.....

To answer your first question, you click on the visibility states and select the one you want. Select the block and a "blue triangle" should appear to the top left of the block, that's the "visibility state button".

You need to be running ACAD 2006 or higher to use DB's.

See Chris's answer to your second question, he has too much time on his hands!

I'm not seeing the triangle when I "Insert" the block into my drawing. Is there a special way to "Insert" a dynamic block that is different from a normal block?

If I open the block directly I see it but not when inserted.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
It may be a nested block, try exploding it once and then see if you can see the "triangle".

This was pretty neato!! At first I thought it was only in 2008 ACAD...but I flipped for joy when it was 2006. I'm going to use this every time I need a scale! Thanks.

How do I add a scale to this? I need to add 1/64" = 1'-0".

First you add a visibility state. Then copy the bar from the 1/32 scale to the 1/64 scale and edit the feet values. I've done this for you.
