    Default Structural - CMU (8" & 12"), Brick (standard & utility), CMU + Brick (12/8+standard)

A couple of blocks for use in section, they all work the same way.

Insert, stretch/array the units up or down, use the visibility state to add a cut block on top or bottom or both.

The combination of CMU and brick allows you to change the cavity width.

CMU blocks include joint reinforcing (with wall ties for the CMU+Brick blocks) at 16".

Everyone here likes it, but it has its quirks as well. There are those random times it should array one more set, but does not, or those times when you wish it weren't there (particularly the ties when they extend through a grouted cavity below grade).

I remember like a year and a half ago (when me and Chris first started exploring DBs) we tried to get something like this. I remember it was Chris who first asked the Q or complained that you couldn't get the reinf. to work. I tried to help but got pulled away by another project.

I don't think we (or at least I didn't, anyway) ever went back to figure it out, which is a shame cuz I think ours might have looked something like these.
