Are you running any 3rd party apps over the top that your co-workers aren't? I'm just thinking out load here.
The message that it's "spaming", dose that appear on the command line or do you get a warning box. If you get a warning box, would it be possible to post a screen shot?

    2. We're all using ABS 2007, all service packs are installed on my machine. The machine isn't the issue here, the drawing file itself is. A drawing my co-workers make on their machines will work perfectly fine on mine. A drawing created on my machine will not.

    3. I don't usually have more than 4 or 5 viewports on a layout.

    4. Tell that to everyone else about using (or not using rather) Defpoints and the layer 0.

    5. Using an nVIDIA Quadro FX 500/600.

    6. Can't post any drawings that I work on, however when I get a chance I'll make one up with random stuff that has the issue.
If you are in model space of a locked viewport and try to pan or zoom, the "Viewport is view-locked. Switching to Paper space." message is to be expected and is simply a warning that you are not panning or zooming the view in the locked viewport, but are actually panning or zooming in paper space. While there may be some delay beyond a similar pan or zoom on the Model tab, a delay of 30 seconds is far greater than any I have seen. Then again, I am running ADT 2004 most of the time, and do not have access to ABS at all, so my experience may not be typical for ABS.

The most annoying thing about the message for me is that after repeating itself for each mouse wheel increment, it makes it hard to look back in the command history. Cranking the EXPERT variable all the way up to 5 will not suppress this message, either. I did not see any other system variables that might be able to suppress the message, but I did not check every single one, either.

Mine only happens when I "pan" when inside of a model space viewport. It kicks me out and gives me the warning on the command line "Viewport is view-locked. Switching to Paper space."

I am using MEP 2009 and figured this would be fixed by now.

    This only started happening recently.

This has started happening to me today.

I just downloaded the latest update from Autodesk so I wonder if it is that.

Autodesk has been trying to help me because my new computer and AutoCAD 2011 are not gelling well and it takes a good 20 seconds to save and 10 seconds to change layout tabs.

Hey Ordengate, a while back you had this issue and posted it. Did you ever find a solution and if so, what was it? What did you do to make the issue go away? I have Civil 3D 2010 and I'm having the same issue. I need help. Thanks
