Default Rotate on insertion, keep attributes reading the right way

when rotating a block on insertion, is there a way to keep attributes facing the right direction (reading right to left, top to bottom)?

the block on the left was rotated on insertion, and the sheet tag in the center is rotated along with everything else compared to the block on the right, which was inserted and rotated using a rotate attribute.

Is this a DB and are you using a rotation parameter, or actually rotating the block? The only way I could think of this is do not lock the position of the attribute in the block. But that propbably will not help you much, since then the attribute will not rotate with the block itselft. Could you post the block?

none that i'm aware of. to me, this falls along the same line when peeps ask if the text can remain the same when using an alignment. pre-insertion rotation affects the block as a whole.

now, if you're using Tool Palettes (TP), and you want preset rotations of the tail, i'd recommend copying the tool 4 times and pre-setting the rotation parameter values. the (updated) tool image should then offer you a preview on what you will insert. it may clog up your TP, but it's still the same block.
Sometimes, i get lost in my own thoughts and need to ask directions to find my way back.

eh. thats more effort than its worth it only takes a second to rotate the block in the drawing, i was just hoping i could eliminate that extra second

Putting it on a palette: One minute x 4 versions of block = 4 minutes or 360 seconds. So after you have inserted this block for the 361st time you will begin to make money for the company.
