Create / Setup shortcut for ALIGN command?

I can't seem to find any other way of entering the align command than typing the word "ALIGN". Is there a shortcut (I don't want a toolbar button!), and if not, how could I set it up to be, say, "AG" or something? (AL and ALI, are taken already)

AL is the factory setting of align, so it must have been reprogrammed, to change it goto Tools>Customize>Edit program parameters. Just a note use this version and not the express tools version of pgp editor, and also place all cutomizations at the end of the file.

Text entered should be this (AG, *ALIGN)

That didn't work at all. And when I use AL, it starts some AutoLog command, which gets me to a dialogue box I don't understand. I checked in that file and AL is indeed set to ALIGN. I tried adding the text you gave me at the end it it had no effect.

A few things - you could have edited the wrong PGP file or you could have a third party program that is overriding that command (probably, since it was overwritten in the first place).

Also - vanilla AutoCAD or a vertical application?

I'll bet it's a toolpac quickkey. Check out your Toolpac quickkeys and see if it's defined in there; they will override the AutoCAD PGP file shortcut keys

Ah, it was. However, I proceeded to delete it from the quick keys, and after doing so, AL still does "Autolog"

It appears today is the day for things suddenly working. On a whim, I updated toolpac. The AL quickkey was still deleted, and I typed in AL. I got ALIGN this time.

I'm not going to argue, it worked. *Shrug*
