Default Annotation - Bearing and Distance - Civil

Pretty simple block used for annotating the bearing and distance of a line. Alignment parameter to align the dimension to the line, rotate action to rotate the text and stretch action to be readable.

I know this feature exists in LDT and I believe in Civil 3D, as well as other Land related programs, but for those whom do not have access to those programs I came up with a simple solution...

Very cool block. Since I don't often get into Civil work, I never would have imagined to create something like this. But it's a cool little tool. Cheers.

here's the version i made when i saw it in that other forum.... i haven't added any other toys to it till our survey dept. decides they can use it. what i did different from his original is that i used a polar parameter and made both ends gripable instead of using an alignment.

you gave me insperation, here my take on it, I prefer to enter information via the properties as you can also enter the RL at the same time.
It gives distance in meters & links useful for using with old survey drawings which have been scaled to metric

Presto rods... Now on to teaching your wife CAD. I am in the process of teaching my wife golf, so I feel your pain!
