Lightbulb Link Text with Object Styles & Line Styles

You should be able to 'link' text to what Object Style or Line Style it is annotating.

e.g. I have a wall that has some leader text pointing to it, I then turn off the wall visibility, the 'associated' text should then turn off with the wall.

I know that there are work arounds, but I think some text intelligence is needed.

Maybe there could be a 'Host' button on the Options Bar. Select the text, then press 'Host', then select your object / line.

I'd rather be able to create a tag for detail items and linework. Then I could put the note in as a parameter in the detail componet and really get an automated keynote system going.

The best current method is to create a shared parameter "Instance Comment" or the like. In your project file, add this parameter as an instance Project Parameter to all the model categories you want to note. Create a multicategory tag with a label that uses the same shared parameter and load it into the project. You can now use this tag to expose, create, and modify a comment for any object. If the visibility of the object is off, the tag will be invisible as well.
By making the project parameter a type rather than instance parameter, you can apply a single comment to all elements of a type.

Sure. However it is Detail Componet I want to note. I'd like to add my typical notes to things like 2x4 Wd. Blocking using a parameter. Details can't have shared parameters. Nor do they schedule.

I can put a symbol inside a detail componet and link this to the family to get the text with the detail. But I can't then move the text around in the project or have a leader attached to it.
