    Default Window w/ Annotation Text

    Hi all -

I'm using an annotation text family (attached) to notate blackout windows on a school project - an example of the window with the nested family is also attached. I've made it an instance parameter within the window family, so it only shows up if I turn it on - but it shows through on multiple floor plans, not just on the level I want it to.

Also, I'm using the same annotation text family to label custom curtainwalls that are modelled as in-place families - and the text shows up when I put it in, but then disappears from view in the original once I've opened another floor plan - the funny thing is that the text will show up in the new floor plan, but not appear in the original unless I edit the in-place family.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks, as always.

    Cheers,

I usually just use the window tag.

If the Bottom Plane in the View Range intersects your window, nested annotations will show.
