Well, it looks like it's got some potential! We haven't done much with the RAM-Revit Link but this new link that allows you to export an existing RAM model to create a new Revit model works pretty well so far...

Hey Rick,
I also understand that you can now add new members in RAM and have them show up in Revit.
Did you have to do a lot of cleanup once you got it into Revit?
Have a great day...
Tom
Morning Tom,
I didn't get into it too much further than the initial import but one thing I did notice is that we'll need to make adjustments for the joist seats. Other than that it looks like it'll be the same cleanup that would normally have to take place.
Talk to you later,
Rick,
The real test will be whethor we can import and export the model fluidly so that it does not require tons of cleanup. The engineers here got cool to it very quickly when they saw that it took so much effort. I am still struggling to get them involved.
Tom
Well this link should help, our local pessimist is actually sounding eerily positive about it!
I've tried it on some test cases, too, and it does work much better. We're trying it with some real projects, and so far so good.

Was this with the new version of RS ie RS2008 or with RS4?
Thanks
it's with RS4, they'll have one for 2008 soon enough though (check the RAMINT website)....Originally Posted by david_peterson
I'm new to this. I have a RAM model and I have Revit Structures 2008. What do I do next?
I have downloaded the Link file from RAM.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the link works with RAM Concrete and Revit for CIP Concrete Beam and pan joists aswell. My hats off to the guys at RAM.
