    Default W shapes Block

    Hi,

I've created a dynamic block that contains all the W shapes according to the steel handbook (Except those big W840, W920, W1000 and W1100)

Just need to select from a list and the shape is drawed from the block properties table.

I'm having some issue with the base point, i don't know how to make it fixed in the middle center of the shape even if i change it. Would be happy to make it work correctly...

    Thank You!

you can use the base point parameter or set your height stretch parameter in the properties pallet to mid point and then stretch from top and bottom.

How did you get the sub categories in your drop down? So that all W150s are in a group together, etc?

Open the Block in the BE.
    Open the Lookup Table.
In the Left column you will see the 150, 200, etc listed at least once for each Weight.
Setting the Table up this way allows those two Parameters to be displayed as descending selections from the list.

So open it and change the BPT to imperial.
I little stretch here and there of the shape and I bet you can get pretty close to being perfect.
Or Google around for an Imperial one.
    There's plenty out there
