    Hello -

It is possible to take some education versions of Autodesk software and move to full commercial versions. The fees, etc. that go with this just about make it equal to buying the full commercial copy outright. Further, I do not know for sure if this is possible with Revit. The only people that will know (should know) will be your reseller. If you get a run-around from them keeping pushing or find another reseller to ask. This unfortunately is about the best answer that I can give you.

    Ciao!

I do not believe educational versions are upgradable. Either to another newer educational version or to a full commercial version. You will want to check with your reseller to be sure.

There should be no reason to pay for an upgrade. When Revit 2008 comes out (soon, but not yet), students will be able to get it for free. Just must be a student and not use it to make money.

If you're a student like myself, you can go to students.autodesk.com/ and register there, and at your finger tips is almost every Autodesk software available today. Pertaining to Revit Architecture 2008, it is not available as a student version yet.. stick with V9 it'll get you where you want to go, and if you're just learning revit, you probably wont be using many of the upgrades that come with 2008...
