Raster Image Background - How to Turn Off?

I am having a problem with my ACAD 2007. When I insert a raster image (usually a .png) the background now shows. This was not a problem with ACAD 2006. How do I get just the raster image to show?

Use ON/OFF options in the TRANSPARENCY command to control the background display of an image. Please don't forget to have a look at New User's New Forum Users please read and take note thread.
