AutoCAD LT 2008 - prevent reconciled new Layers alert from displaying

How do I get the balloon alert to turn off for every drawing? I don't want the balloon alert to come on. I right click and uncheck the alert, but alert still comes on everytime I open a drawing.

Hi sorry to bring up an old thread, but that solution only seems to work with a single drawing and doesnt set a standard for all drawings? anyone know how to turn it off for good as it is so anoying.

That is due to the fact that system variable LayerNotify is saved in the drawing (and not the registry).

Within AutoCAD it would be a painless thing to take care, you could simply add a small snippet of AutoLISP to an appropriate AutoCAD start-up file eg Acad.lsp or AcadDoc.lsp or Custom.mnl etc.

Does AutoCAD LT use any start-up files that allow user input to be added?
