Create a custom Linetype, guidance needed
I am having a really hard time trying to create a new custom linetype. Followed "Help" steps, but when I try to save, get an error message. Can anyone send me a message in an "A-B-C, 1-2-3" plain language format so I can give this another try?

Hi Steve, welcome to AUGI. You should be able to find an answer here. Express Tools has a command that creates linetypes for you.
ps. We discourage replies outide the forums. If the answer gets posted here, then other people in the future can search the forums for a quick answer. Notice that's what Tim did and he posted a link to it for you. You'll find the search tools in the links bar at the top of the forum page, just under where your login name is.

If what you want does not have any shapes in it, you can "cheat" and copy an exisiting line type to the end of the linetype file and "tweak" it.
If what you want has shapes in it, the Express tool is priceless
If you have LT....... your better off sticking to no shapes
