button images lost, only displaying "?"

Howdy y'all.

On all my Express Tools toolbars, the button image is not displaying. Instead I have buttons with question marks. How can I get the images back?

First thing I'd check would be your support paths. Maybe the express tools support path has been removed. The path should be:

C:\Program Files\AUTOCAD VERSION\Express

Where AUTOCAD VERSION is your specific AutoCAD (i.e. Autocad 2007, Autodesk Building Systems 2007, Autocad 2008, etc.)

No joy. The support path is good.

Hmm, Have you tried switching profiles, like to just plain vanilla ACAD?

I found a fix. I determined that the icon .bmp files were not where ACAD expected. They were in the Express folder in the support directory. I opened the CUI dialog box and made like I was going to modify the icon. Below the icon edit window I picked the name of the image and browsed to where it was actually located. When I opened that image file, it fixed all of the icon images.
