Default sorting a list of points so that it follows a certain order

hi pple, i wish to know if anyone knows of any codes or functions that can help me to sort out a list of points so that they follow a certain order. for my current case, the points lie on the boundary of a square and i want them to follow a clockwise order.thanks

oh and just one point to bring out, my problem would be that the points were obtained but user selection and thus the order is not fixed, it could start from the center point of one side and reads the points till it reaches the end point, it then jumps to the other end point and reads the points till it reaches the point it read first. this happened for all 4 sides.

hi again, i have went through some of noadea threads and picked up a few codes, but they do not really work for my program keeps giving me an error. anyways i was looking through help and found a vl-sort function, tested it but also doesn't seem to do what i want. someone correct me if i'm wrong but does vl-sort uses bubble sorting method? lastly just want to say that all the above may not work for me because my list is very very screwed up in its order. will continue trying and hope more help can come in. thanks
