    Default Erasing Alignment Labels

What is the best way to erase alignment line and curve labels?

I have 4.5 mile long alignment with 250 +/- labels. I need to erase all of them so I can relabel the alignment segments in the correct order. So far the best way I have found to delete all the labels is to select each one individually. Since it takes about 15 seconds to erase each one I am starting the erase command, picking each one individually then ending the erase command so I only have to wait 15 seconds once. There's got to be a better way.

    Hi Jeff,
You can select one of the labels, then right click - Edit labels. In the dialog that opens select the label type in the bottom half of the dialog, then click the red X in the upper portion.
So if you have Major, Minor and Geometry points, you would select each type (one at a time) and delete them by clicking the red X. This does NOT delete the style, just the label sets for that alignment

Thanks for the reply Mark but that does not work with the segment (line, curve, spiral) labels.

There does not appear to be an easy way to erase the segment labels in 2007. As The labels are part of the alignment so select similar will also select the alignment. If you try to remove the alignment from the selection set it removes the labels from the selection set also.

Good news is the segment labels in 2008 are now separate objects and can be erased using a window or select similar.

    Hi Jeff,
You said you wanted to delete all the labels for that alignment, so that's what I gave you.

My Bad, I guess I should read the question more than once! I thought you were talking about Stations.

    Good Morning Jeff,
I just checked and found that you can go to Alignments-Tables-Renumber Tags to re-organize/renumber your segment labels in sequence. I knew you could do this with Parcels, but wanted to check on the Alignment labels before I opened my mouth and ended up having Foot for breakfast!
