    Default spot dimensions

I am in the process of placing more spot elevations and I cant grab the tops of my foundation walls. I am able to pick the footings and the floor edges but not my walls. What am I doing wrong? Are they set in relation to the view range?

    Yes.

    Try this:

Set your cut plane and view top to a value at or just above your wall top.

    Place the spot elevations.

Once complete, reset the cut plane and view top.

The top of wall spot elevations will still show.
