Question Working with Linked Architects Model

    Hi everyone,

Situation: Have a structural model being developed with the architects model linked in. After the intital copy/monitor which was done some time ago and since has changed (as architects are so famous for) i was wondering how to copy an element (in this case the centre walls of a concrete staircase) and then convert to a bearing (structural element) for my model/plans.

Of course when i selected the wall it highlights the entire (architects model) though i can tabe through until i can select just the wall, though im unsure how to copy it correctly?

Hope that made sense, all help appreciated!

    Brock,

It sounds like you just need to select the Copy/Monitor tool and then Select the Link. After doing this you'll have a set of tools in the Design Bar, that's where you have the Copy, Options (to set what happens to the element that you copy), and Monitor tools.

Let me know if I'm not understanding what's going on....
