Default Dimension text editor, text appears tiny

Just upgraded from 2007 to 2008.

Just a minor query. When I edit my dimensions the text editor chooses the dim text height before multiplying by the dimscale, so the text appears tiny. Is there a setting for this. I'm pretty sure I changed a setting in 2007 for this but I just cant remember what it is.

    Hi

If I am understanding your question, take a look at system variable MTextEd

If I have not understood correctly, please supply further details.

    Have a good one, Mike

I have my mtexted set to internal.

When I edit text it's fine, it edits the text in place, which is what I'm after.
When I edit dimensions, it still edits the text in place but it's very small, I have to zoom in to see it. My dimensions are set are up at 1:1 with a dimscale equal to my drawing scale. It seems that when I edit the dimtext it shows the text as 2mm rather than 2mm x dimscale (which is how it is viewed in the model).

    Clear as mud eh!

I did have everything set up the same in 2007 and it worked fine, perhaps it's a migration problem.

The mtextfixed does work when set to 2 (mtexted set to internal) but although it scales the text up it also rotates it horizontally. It does not keep text in place <Hmmmmm smilie> I'm sure there is a variable somewhere but I cant remember where it is, thats the problem when you only use it once a year.
